RESUMEN. Estudio del tramo Pancrudo-Cutanda, perteneciente al hipotético camino islámico que unía la zona de Teruel con Campo Romanos (y desde allí con Zaragoza). Ésta pudo ser la última etapa de la expedición almorávide comandada por Ibrahim ibn Yusuf en 1120 y que acabó con la Batalla de Cutanda. Mediante la prospección arqueológica y el estudio de la relación existente entre la red tradicional de caminos y los sistemas parcelarios agrícolas conservados, se establece el hipotético trazado del “Camino del Alfambra-Pancrudo”, la vía alternativa al tradicional “Camino del Alto Jiloca”.
ABSTRACT. Study of the Pancrudo-Cutanda stretch, belonging to the hypothetical Islamic path that linked the area of Teruel with Campo Romanos (and from there with Zaragoza). This may have been the last stage of the Almoravid expedition commanded by Ibrahim ibn Yusuf in 1120 and wich ended with the Battle of Cutanda. Through archaeological prospecting and the study of the relationship between the traditional network of roads and conserved agricultural parcel systems, the hypothetical layout of the “Camino de Alfambra-Pancrudo”, the alternative route to the traditional “Camino del Alto Jiloca”, is established.
